Dinah’s is redefining “family dining.” In today’s technologically-advanced and fast-paced world, the concepts of “home cooking” and “family dinners” have gotten lost somewhere. Since we opened our doors in 1959, Dinah’s Family Restaurant of Los Angeles has been putting a delicious emphasis on “family” with wholesome, homemade meals, value-laden prices, exceptionally warm and hospitable service and a down-to-earth atmosphere. Our centrally located Sepulveda Boulevard address, now some 48 years later, still serves homestyle-esque specialties such as “Oven Baked Pancakes”and “Famous Fried Chicken” amidst the same friendly, casual backdrop.
From the moment you approach our throwback-like façade – recalling a simpler bygone time when families stopped at roadside eateries that offered a complete menu – you’ll realize Dinah’s is something different and unique.
In the midst of a town replete with swanky, chic “celebrity chef-esque” restaurants, Dinah’s stands out as nothing of the sort: Consider the giant “fried chicken tub” sign that still struts its stuff above our Take-Out area, the first of its kind in L.A., recognized by droves of Dinah’s loyalists as the symbol for our Famous Fried Chicken. But of course, a charming vintage-style icon such as this would be nothing without the food to back it up.
Our Fried Chicken, which has received critical acclaim nearly since our inception for its tantalizing blends of flours, herbs and spices, is merely the beginning of the Dinah’s Family Restaurant experience. Our famous breakfast menu boasts classics such as Pancakes & Waffles, Breakfast Specials, Egg Combinations, Omelets and a myriad of side order items, while our lunch menu includes favorites such as Dinah’s Famous Burgers, cold sandwiches, Hot-From-The-Grill items, salads, soups and combination soup or salad and one-half sandwich choices.
Additionally, our loyal customers have returned time and again for our encompassing Barbeque Menu, which includes salads, sandwiches, lunches and dinners.
